You would think they'd know better than to leave him unattended given the confession. You'd also think that I would know better than to attempt a pun where the punchline is nearly impossible to convey in this art style.

DeletePhil Collins is also an anagram of Octopuns. I mean - it's not, but it could have been. It is an anagram of Ochipins LLL though. That might be worth something.

DeleteWell, you could blame not understanding it on the fact that it should technically be "i sawed it with my own eyes" which is what all the angry commenters on Reddit are doing.

ReplyDeleteSo, I uhhh, was trying to draw a sleeping guard. I spent so much time trying to get the eye saws looking right in the final panel that I did not take a second glance at the sleeping eyes before posting it.
DeleteNot even some trusty floating Zs could have saved me from this mistake.
